2015 May 25, Amanuensis Monday-Cont'd : J.P.McPherson's Diary, December 1,1850 through December 31, 1850

The John Stewart Stone House that J.P.McPherson and family moved
into on September 16, 1850.  Prior to that date, they had been
living in Stewart's log cabin.

Decr   1  Sunday  (Note: No entry for this date./JGH)

  "      2  Monday     Working at my house when weather would permit up to Tuesday 17th inst. when I moved into it. Rec'd letter from A.A.

  "    18  Tuesday    Fixing My house and making Mr. A. Meyrs coat up Tuesday 31st inst.

      This photograph was labeled as being Uncle Tom Adamson's log cabin.  However, Thomas and Anne Adamson did not move to Springdale until about 1860 when J. P. and  Family moved into their frame house, therefore I believe this is a photo of the original log cabin that  J. P. McPherson built in 1850.  
    In 2010, I visited Springdale, and there is a similar hilly rise on old McPherson property that looks very much like this photo (with a new modern house, of course).
